La Palma Video

Mon 8 February, 2010

Gazing from my window I can see piles of snow. And there is more in the forecast! From beneath a warm afghan the scene is delightful, so long as you don't want to go anywhere. Staying home has it's perks, and I was able to immerse myself in our video footage of La Palma. Would you like to climb a dormant volcano today? If you are given to vertigo, this movie may bring back a few hair-raising memories.

Love the video !!!  watched 'em all .  Thanks !!

Re: La Palma Video

The views on the path are spectacular - it was me encouraging you to take it!  Thanks for an inspiring walk.

Re: La Palma Video

argh..I heard that pine cone fall too and yes it was me that picked it up. I couldnt resist. What a sticky sticky mess. Sapp was all over it and if some of it is on your your luggage I am sorry. Did you find it in your luggage? I would like it back as a memoir, thanks
you know, that trail was awfully crunchy and the lack of oxygen up there is too much for me, sorry I departed early. (it wasnt me that edged you on, actually, I was yelling....GET AWAY FROM THE EDGE!! )
This is making me tachycardic. argh!

Re: La Palma Video

what was buzzing at the last second of your video. a bug? seriously? they can survive up there too.
Still experiencing tachycardia but my O2 sats are much improved.

Re: La Palma Video

You are funny now... but at the time of the filming it was you, Alison, that was making me so darn nervous...  whimpering and grabbing on my sleeve to turn around.  I'm glad you are now recovered. I ditched that pine cone the next day, but I do still have your lava rock!

Re: La Palma Video

Thanks Tina and Dave, it was an amazing feeling out there... actually indescribable. It's funny how I might not have done it without the thought of all of you joining me. Thanks for the boost Tina... miss you!
