Pause

Yes, we needed to press the Pause button. But just like every audio-video device, we will be back to Play this afternoon. We needed to Pause because the Flu hit me and rolled me out like a pile of pastry dough. I never left the bed yesterday due to fever. Fortunately there were no other symptoms! You may be wondering what we may have missed here in Barcelona... well, that was the day to visit the Picasso museum. HMM, seems I don't ever get far with museums on these trips.

Ordinary BuildingBarcelona has actually been quite a surprise in many ways. The words that come to mind immediately are Immense, Clean, and Artistic. If you really want to see and experience it all you would need weeks and a good course in Spanish or Catalan. Unexpectedly, there was very little English language  to be found in and around the shops, signs, or spoken by the locals. Getting around without it was not too difficult, and in doing so it was easy to see how much the people take pride in this their home. Even the most ordinary of apartment buildings is a work of art. They have had the contributions of Antoni Gaudi, Joan Miro, and Picasso, who had a fervent love for this city. And the many cathedrals are breathtaking. Plus you have already sampled what they can do with food.

I'm starting to ramble with this post because of the fog in my brain, so I'll leave for now. We are picking up a car soon and leaving Barcelona for the majestic Montserrat Monastery nestled within the mountains not too far away. We'll be staying for two nights! And the Barcelona Movie should be completed soon. I could say it in ten different ways and it still would not be enough- Thank you all for coming along!
