Belize
Just south of Mexico lies the small Central American nation of Belize. With plenty of coast line, and the second largest barrier reef in the World, it is no wonder that cruise ships include it on many Caribbean itineraries. But what of the land beyond its coast, and what of the people in this richly diverse country about the size of Massachusetts? We have ten days to explore, but only one of those days will be spent in ocean water. Our schedule includes Mayan ruins, caving, rivers, biking, horses, tortillas, jungle hiking, waterfalls... to name a few, OH, and chocolate of course!
