Antarctica

The excitement is building. The pile of woolens and waterproofs are stacked ready for packing. In only four short weeks we will embark on a trip that many dream of. But for you and I it will be very, very real. As the seasons change we can image that in the far south the onset of summer is on the horizon. Lets sample an appetizer of our next great adventure.
Are you ready to jump in?
I love this picture because it looks a lot like our family here at blendingtogether. Are you one of those penguins? If this is your first news that we are going to Antarctica, then its time you waddle your way over the snow, and down the path that leads to the water. Its almost time to jump in, and I can't think of any better way than to be supported by a National Geographic Expedition.

omg, seriously..we are going on a Lindblad Expedition. I get the magazines for those all the time and dream of going to them all...yippeeeee!!! We are going to waddle with penguins!!

All I can say is, WOW! I can't wait. My father was stationed in Antarctica, so this brings back many fond memories.

1 penguin
1 shot light rum
1 shot herring liqueur
1 shot Bud Ice (chilled)
1 dozen fresh strawberries or other fruit
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 cup crushed ice
Dash of salt
Blend away

Are you kidding???? Its one week to go and today I packed!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you are coming along, it wouldn't be the same without you. I hope you have fun in the windy city and that you dream of penguins in your sleep
