Earth Day
Hello Virtual Family! Its been a few months since our return from Atlantis. Personally I'm feeling that our rest in the nest has been very beneficial, but that it's now time to shift. Spring Has Sprung! Lets stretch our wings, breathe in the fresh air, and take the lead from Mother Earth and hop to it.
Yesterday, in 190 countries, approximately 1 billion people participated in Earth Day activities, making it the largest non-religious, civic event in the world. Now there's a bit of blendingtogether that we can all relate to. Regardless of where or how you live, we are all connected to this big, beautiful planet that we call our home.
ResiliencyWhen I was a child the idea of recycling our resources, or imagining a hybrid car would have been exotic indeed. I'll bet you can think of a few yourself... there are now green schools, green jobs, and recyclable grocery bags. I'm very excited to be living in such shifting times, and this is only the start. Progress generally has a few peaks and valleys, and much like bumper cars we'll be bumping against the extremes as we seek to keep our forward movement. Thank goodness for the resilience of our Earth, as we collectively find a way to live with her fundamental perfection.
Eastern BluebirdToday I saw a Bluebird; one of Earth's reminders to consider happiness as your choice, and to set a standard for optimism. Hope creates miracles, and in our next journey to Nicaragua in July, we will experience the product of inspiring perseverance when it is mixed with an eco-friendly approach. Hooray for Green!
