Mission Accomplished

Thu 10 July, 2008

The flock has settled and we are all home. A few of us lost a feather or two; but there's a fresh one already growing to replace it. No one broke anything, and there's only just the one scar forming from the burn on my leg. It's a nice reminder.

Paradoxically, the water is beginning to clear as the ripples of effect begin to emerge. Why did we go to Mali, Africa ?? Personally, I wasn't ever able to answer that question before we went; and the reply would have been quite mirky and confusing during the journey. It's only been a short time since we're home; but already there are the most amazing images appearing as we watch the polaroids develop.

For each one of you that were actively involved in the evolvement of this Blog, please know that there were another 10 people out there also following along. I've been hearing that often there was one computer monitor with a room-full of eyes upon it. Flying quietly, but contributing their energies to the entire group just the same. There's a lot of excitement out there amongst the group these days; because we know we did something together, for the good of all, and for a people that will always remember that someone from that magical land of America cares.

It may have only been a tiny speck on the vastness of our Planet Earth, but we DID find that blending we were searching for. It doesn't really matter where you go, it's there. It's that twinkle. That twinkle in the eye often paired with a smile. That light. That bond that makes us all One. No matter where we go we can find it, if you take the time to look. It says... "hello". It says... "greetings". It says... "thank you for seeing the real me". It says... "I love you too". All in a magical, time-suspending moment that has no need for language or any other expectation.

I'm sure there's much, much more... the ripples have only just begun. Thank all of you again for being a part of the Magic.

Let's do it again!  Our next stop... Norway, Europe (including Svalbard within the Arctic Circle).  Leaving May 12, 2009

Deb, The pics are

Deb, The pics are great. And, the one picture solved the mystery of igloos in Africa for me. Now it makes sense. Turns out there are 2 definitions of the word... ig·loo (from Answers.com) 1. An Inuit or Eskimo dwelling, especially a dome-shaped winter dwelling built of blocks of packed snow. 2. A dome-shaped structure or building. The sand storm photos are amazing. Dave
