Nicaragua
The largest country in Central America is also the second poorest in all of the America's. But the Spirit of Nicaragua is far from impoverished. Within the last century alone she has withstood 42 years of dictatorship, a revolution, a devastating earthquake, and the Contra war. This seasoning has enriched a culture full of pride and fresh independence. What's more, she is bordered by two oceans, contains fabulous lakes, and is peppered with volcanos. The land is fertile and bursting with exotic wildlife. And much like a phoenix just lifting its head, she breathes with a vibrancy that catches our attention. We've been invited to visit; and I'm sure she has much to share.
