Wildly Fun
Firstly, for all of the friends and family patiently awaiting the Spay and Neuter Clinic Movie, I can happily report that it has turned out even better than expected. It is no surprise, because we all played our parts superbly. The length is just about nine minutes, but despite trying to upload it numerous times, I will need to wait until Part 2 of my journey in order to use an improved WIFI location. The service at the farm is too slow and unreliable.
Dragon Fruit and Coconut!During our final two days together, we managed to squeeze in many fun experiences. Many of us enjoyed Zip-Lining through the jungle canopy, followed by horseback riding along the beach and through the mountain. We had lunch at a beachside restaurant, where most of us selected lobster. This was followed by ice cream and a bit of street shopping. That evening we created a full blown dance party back at the villa... why not, we already have 18 people, plus the locals that have been driving our butts all over town. I might add that some of us are very good Salsa dancers! It was an amazing day.
Yesterday we received a BBQ lunch at the villa, and then found our way to a remote beach south of San Juan del Sur. It is known for great surfing. There we found a lot of adept surfers, so we chimed in with boogie-boarding, swimming, and one of us worked at learning to surf. There is video being created for all of this, so that you can see just how much you can experience virtually (even flying through the canopy). Heck, I even think I felt a few of you bobbing next to me in the water!
Today, the majority of the group awoke at 2:30 AM to head back to the airport, catching early morning flights back to the USA. We bid them Godspeed and a comfortable journey. At this moment, in the cradle of a lovely shower, a few of us remain, still slumbering to the charming pitter-patter. We will be leaving much later this morning, but only resettling into another beautiful place. As it is with any country, Nicaragua is much more than one city, town, or popular destination. We have other regions to check out... I wish I could tell you more, but why spoil the surprise!
