Peru & Bolivia

On our first night in Peru, we encounter Lima, the exciting coastal capital. What follows will be three full weeks of high altitude adventure. Beginning with the Andes Mountains, we visit Cusco and the fabled mountain top remains of Machu Picchu. Then, climbing higher to over 12,000 feet, we'll spend time at Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, and the largest in South America. Sacred, serene, and deeply traditional... just the idea of visiting Titicaca makes me all tingly inside. Finally, we'll adventure into the west of Bolivia to marvel at the worlds largest salt flat... the Salar de Uyuni. Here we will experience this massive salt desert, including red lakes, giant cacti, flamingos, geysers, and llamas. This is only part of the fascination to be found in the Bolivian Altiplano- all the while at 12,000 ft! I hope you don't experience altitude sickness, because this trip is just bursting with awesomeness.
