Video: Hiking Isla del Sol

Mon 27 June, 2011

Here is our video reminder of Isla del Sol! We spent three wonderful nights in Yumani, the primary village at the southern end of the island. On our first full day we hiked to the northern end of the island, along an ancient and vital footpath which runs along its central spine. Ancient ruins are scattered about the island, with the largest, called Chinkana, at our destination. It was a perfect day, with plenty of stops to collect some oxygen and soak in the fabulous view. Arriving at our destination three hours later we sat for a snack before retracing our steps back home. There was fun along the way, but I don't want to spoil the movie.

The following two days were all about rest and relaxation. I don't need to tell you about the tiring nature of international travel! It was nice to finally settle in one place, and put our feet up for a spell.

Wow, this video was fantastic; the blessings of the priest, the scenery, the puppy was so cute and I must say the music won this trip Grammy as far as I am concerned.
